The GR-2 reads, generates and jams to all the standard frame rates including 23.976 for High Definition Video. The Timecode I/O is on a 5 pin Lemo connector. Denecke is excited to announce the release of the "TimeCode Toolbox App"! The Denecke TimeCode ToolBox app is designed to Read & Generate LTC time code using your mobile iDevice (running iOS 5.x or higher). The time code reader features a level meter and wave form analyzer (helpful for trouble shooting cables, etc). The incoming time code frame rate is flagged as well. The Time code generator is capable of generating all of the standard frame rates and defaults to the current time of day. User bits default to the current date. The generator can also be set to user select values.

The Dcode SB-3 replaces the Dcode SB-2A in the Denecke line of Time Code Generators.  In addition to being able to read, generate and jam to all the standard frame rates including 23.976, it generates Word Clock with very low jitter and continuously re-jams so there's no need to power down.  All of this using just 2 AA batteries!

Denecke, Inc. has been granted U.S. Patent No. 7,200,320 for Time Code Slate System and Method. This patent covers the Dcode TS-3 and TS-C Time Code Slates.

The TS-3A upgrade dramatically improves the ability of the Slate to display off speed code used in special effects situations such as music video playback.  The time code read window is 5 fps to 160 fps and functions in both forward and reverse.  Another feature of the upgrade is the ability to flag invalid code (off speed) when jam syncing.  An example of this is when the audio recorder's sample rate is "pulled up" but the time code is not locked to the internal crystal reference.  In a case like this the recorder would generate 30.03 fps.  The TS-3 recognizes this error and displays "Src Err".   The TS-3A upgrade also enables the slate to be used as a "+1 frame" reader.  One frame is added to all the standard frame rates (drop and non drop) before displaying the time code.  This option is easily accessed through the TS-3 menu system and only affects the read mode.

The price of the upgrade is $95 installed.  This includes recalibrating the A/D converter, cleaning, installation, and tuning the TCXO.  The upgrade is now available and is a standard feature on all new TS-3 Time Code Slates.
